The EMERGE website was designed and developed to ensure the greatest accessibility for people with disabilities.
The pages match the accessibility level AA (Double-A), recommended by W3C and the European Union. Istituto Sturzo and duDAT Srl have achieved this goal through the potential of XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS2. The AA accessibility level is reached by most of EMERGE site, while Level A represents the minimum level required for the publication of new pages.

But the accessibility of EMERGE website goes beyond validity statements: it is a technical matter, but also (and above all) a cultural purpose and a quality issue: Sturzo's goal is to produce user friendly web contents and pages.

The EMERGE website pages have been tested on major browsers that support CSS2. For other browsers, it is expected a graphic downgrade that ensures the best content readability.

However, it's well known that the accessibility of pages over time is a difficult job, and can certainly happen that new pages present content with imperfect presentation. In this case, you can write recommendations and suggestions on this page.
